I think the way this happens is:

• driver.love's zoom animation temporarily sets the viewport size to large values
• errors in that small time window save the large viewport size
• on a restart, driver tries to create a humongous window
• SDL crashes irrecoverably

Now we recover a little more gracefully. Since we have no information about the previous (correct) window size, we just reset the window size to its defaults.
